Lancashire County Council

Case Study: Lancashire County Council

Lancashire County Council is a regional government body responsible for ensuring quality of life and provision of services for its citizens. It is also a large local employer. The County Council comprises 84 elected Councillors who meet in Full Council on at least six occasions each year.

Schools within the county of Lancashire are required to have fire risk assessments undertaken to ensure the safety of the children and staff on a daily basis.  Within schools clusters there has been recognition that whilst there is a need for legal compliance, that can come in a cost effective package, and by working together schools in Lancashire have ensured they have secured the best product at the right price. Our expertise and experience made us ideal for the job, as we have carried out hundreds of fire risk assessments for schools in Lancashire since 2006.

We have also run a number of fire safety training sessions for schools within lancashire, the most popular being our Twilight Fire Safety Training, designed specifically for schools. Also popular are the fire awareness and fire warden training courses.

Tom Armstrong MCIOB, Principal Building Surveyor, LCC, said “I have been associated with Brian and his company for approximately five years. In that time I have recommended Brian and his team to many of Lancashire County Councils and Lancashire Church Diocese schools.Read on...

Brian Gregory, Managing Director, said “Work does not get much more rewarding than knowing you are doing your bit to ensure our schools remain a safe haven for our children to learn in.”
