Safety Management UK is now an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.

The Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) is one of the UK's leading professional bodies for Fire Safety and Fire Risk Assessment experts. We realise that when clients are looking to have work carried out by experts, they want to see some third party certification, peer accountability, and we believe this should be available.

By joining forces with the IFSM, we will be able to provide accreditation for our assessors and peace of mind to our clients knowing that Safety Management (UK) is operating in as professional, accountable and transparent way as possible. By joining the IFSM, Safety Management will be able to provide not only accredited assessors, but we will be able to deliver accredited sector specific modules to our assessors, ensuring their competence is maintained and their learning enhanced.

The article talks eloquently about the benefits of third part certification, something Safety Management has been advocating for several years now in the Fire Risk Assessment industry. Whilst the article covers Scotland, there is no reason that other UK based companies should not take this sound advice when selecting their fire risk assessors.
