Management of Hazardous Materials

Hazardous substances are a part of our everyday working life and on high risk sites such as the oil, gas and chemical industry present. Understanding, managing and dealing with substances in the workplace has become a safety critical issue that requires individuals to be trained to a level of competence, allowing them to operate in the job role safely and effectively.

Who should attend?

This course is essential to all personnel who have or may have responsibility in the management and use of hazardous materials and substances. As a four day training programme will involve a combination of formal lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, practical assessments and written exercises. Attendees are not required to have any practical experience of hazardous materials or dealing with them.

Programme Summary

This practical hazardous materials programme will provide attendees with a sound understanding, and a practical application of managing, working and dealing with hazardous materials on a regular basis, from substance recognition to storage, handling, safety equipment and emergency arrangements.
