How much do you know about fire safety in your workplace?

Legislation states that all employees must be trained in the actions to be taken in the event of a fire. This quiz will help you decide if you need some fire safety training.

 

1. Where is the nearest fire alarm call point to your workstation?
2. Do you know what the fire alarm sounds like when activated? Yes   No
3. Where is the nearest fire exit to your workstation and where does it exit the building?
4. Where are the nearest fire extinguishers to your workstation and what type are they?
5. What are the evacuation procedures for disabled visitors/customers?
6. Where is your assembly area outside when you evacuate?
7. Who is your Fire Warden?
8. Three things make up the triangle of fire - fuel, heat and what other component is needed?
9. Would it be acceptable to use a water extinguisher on a fire involving a computer? Yes   No
10. What does your fire routine state you should do if you discover a fire in the workplace?
